Our Rose Hydrosol comes to us from the same producer who provides us with our Rose Oils. The Rose Water, Hydrosol, has a sweet rose aroma but please know it is not close to the strong aroma of Rose Otto or Absolute.
Rose water is wonderful to use for facial compresses, diffusing, or use in creams and lotions.
If you have used Rose water in the past you will be very happy with this newest lot. If you have never used Hydrosols, please order a sample FIRST.
For long-term storage, Hydrosols/Waters, should be transferred to sterile glass containers with sterile caps. To avoid contamination we should NOT touch bottle rims, or inside bottle caps with fingers, or pour unused hydrosols back into the container. We should avoid direct sunlight and avoid extreme heat for long periods of time. Refrigeration can assist in extending the shelf life of hydrosols.
Our Hydrosols are tested every 90 days for fungal and microbial contamination.

When a Hydrosol leaves the still it will be sterile. Only improper handling or storage ..or adulteration with water that was not distilled can contaminate a Hydrosol. Hydrosols are shipped in Food Industry Approved plastic jugs.

I have been shopping with Appalachian Valley for some years now. This is my first review and it covers several hydrosols and witch hazel (alcohol free version). My experience with these products has been fantastic from the beginning. These hydrosols are so versatile in that you can (1) mix them with witch hazel and make your own toner of whatever scent you like (2) use it as DIY mask. Shopping has been super easy with Apple Pay. Shipping is extremely swift. All around a 5-star experience.
I love this website. It is in high regard on blogs and Reddit! I have a huge Reddit, blog and social media following as a healthy living advocate! This hydrosol has jumped in price by $25 in just a year. I usually buy the 64oz for $50 it is now $75. John of av at I understand inflation but a $25 price increase why would you do that to your local customers and social media followers of this site. Btw I am not the only one who has written about this huge price increase. Just makes me question what is going on from a business, quality and ethics standpoint for their products to jump so much

I normally buy Alteya Organics Bulgarian Rose Water at price $18-$25/500ml. Appalachian Valley has rose hydrosol from Tukey at much better price with same good quality ( rose sense a little less strong than Alteya Organics Bulgarian rose ). I am happy with the purchase! Highly recommended!
