Extensively used within many trades requiring fragrance materials. Much is used for the extraction of pure natural Citral for use in fine fragrances products. Lemongrass is used in the food flavoring trade and in a wide range of cosmetic products.

The Hydro distilled is a stronger lemon fragrance as opposed to the softer aroma of the steam distilled Lemongrass oil.

Anti-microbial. Useful in respiratory tract infections and spasmodic coughs. Excellent for covering bad odors. Used in aromatherapy to reduce stress levels nervous exhaustion and fatigue. Soothing and relaxing.

Caution:  Lemongrass can cause extreme skin irritation if applied directly to the skin, lemongrass oil distilled or hydro diffused must be diluted with a carrier oil prior to applying to the skin.  DO NOT APPLY NEAT.

Recently started exercising and had significant knee pain. Applied Lemongrass with a carrier oil after exercise and this quickly relieved pain. This now replaces my usual ibuprofen for joint pains.

This oil is so soothing, gentle, the lemon is not overpowering. I highly recommend!
