ROOM FRAGRANCE: This is the best way to use orange oil, it can be a highly effective room deodorant, it blends extremely well with the spice oils such as clove, black pepper, ginger, etc. It may have a tranquilizing effect on anxiety states, or lift mild depression. It may help increase the ability to concentrate on complex tasks. It may help improve sleep quality, see references above.
Caution: Long term use can cause skin irritation. EXPRESSED oil could cause photosensitization following exposure to sunlight or sunbeds. People who get skin irritation, or allergic type reactions from citrus fruit, cosmetics or perfume should avoid this oil. Until further information is available, it is wiser to avoid all citrus oils (except F.C.F. Bergamot) for people suffering from skin cancers. Keep orange oil well away from the eyes, and away from children.
