Description

It is frequently claimed by aromatherapy writers that: "because wheatgerm oil contains high levels of vitamin E, that it can be added to oil blends as a preservative". This is not true. Essential oils mixed with wheatgerm oil will quickly lose their fragrance and become foul smelling. Wheatgerm oil is cosmedogenic (blocks pores).

Use only for extremely dry skin as an additive.

Wheat germ is high in Vitamin E, also containing A, D, B1, B2, B3 and B6, essential fatty acids, protein and minerals.

The unrefined oil is viscous and deep orange with an unpleasant, powerful greasy aroma.

Refined oil is pale orange.

    Wheat germ

One of my favorites for many recipes. It’s a thick oil so certain skin types should be aware of possible clogging if using on their face. It’s excellent for skin and hair as well. Next time I’ll order a larger bottle as this is one I use a lot!
