Cypress oil is used in a wide range of toiletry formulations and some perfumes.
A delightful fragrance for use alone or blended with other oils. As an inhalant it is excellent for sore throat, hoarseness, spasmodic coughs. It is a pleasant bath oil and ideal for lack of concentration, lethargy, and emotional traumas. Used in massage for easing muscle cramps and for its effects on the mind.
Blue Cypress blends well with many oils. Try blending Cypress with Cedarwoods, Lavenders, Citrus Oil like Orange and Bergamot, Helichrysum, Geranium and Clary Sage.
NOTE: A error, made by most popular aromatherapy authors, has been assuming that the traditional use of water or alcoholic extracts can be applied to the essential oil. Water extracts contain many compounds that do not occur in the same plants essential oil. Part of the astringent action of the water-based extract of cypress, is due to substances called tannins. These substances do not occur in the essential oil. Therefore, be cautious about the therapeutic claims made in aromatherapy books for cypress oils.
Caution: Use with caution and only with advice of an Aromatherapist during pregnancy.
I have purchased this essential oil twice, as I use it often. Woody, refreshing, grounding with perhaps a touch of herbaceous citrus.
I use this one a lot. It has a great scent and I diffuse it often. Also, whenever my son gets warts, I mix some with a carrier oil and I put it on the warts a few times a day, and it helps them go away. This oil is one of my favorites.
I use this oil with a blend for my special needs adult son. It helps to calm him down and have focus. It is a middle note oil, and does work well with the other four oils that make up a Life and Calm Blend. I really like the quality of AV-AT oil. It makes all the difference when creating blends.
Amazing oil...I make bath bombs for my husband using cypress, lavender and peppermint...He now takes a bath every day! I use it for skin care lotions and anti- headache blends...The scent is wonderful. I will definitely order this again!
