ROOM FRAGRANCE: Clary blends very well with citrus oils, lavender, cedarwood, geranium, sandalwood and several of the spice oils. An ideal oil for perfuming potpourri, or for use in oil burners and room diffusers. It is vital to ensure adequate room ventilation, and that other people using the room find the fragrance acceptable. Some people have reported headaches from over exposure to this oil's volatile fumes.
BATHS: This oil can make a wonderfully relaxing bath, use for any of the conditions under "massage". Its use in the bath can leave the skin with a fine subtle perfume for several hours hence its reputation as an aphrodisiac.
MASSAGE: Soothing and relaxing with a mild euphoric quality, ideal for: nervous exhaustion, anxiety, P.M.T, post-natal depression, menopausal problems, reputed aphrodisiac for men and women. The oil has a reputation for helping improve skin disorders such as spots and boils.
Clary oil blends well with: Bergamot, Cedar, Geranium, Jasmine, Juniper, Lavender, Olibanum, Petigrain, Rose, Sandalwood and Ylang.
Caution: The fragrance can be powerful, and some people feel overwhelmed by it. Beware of driving if it has that effect. All contact with this oil is best avoided in cases of threatened miscarriage, or where a history of miscarriage is known, however there is no evidence that it can cause any adverse effects in a normal pregnancy. Keep all essential oils well away from children and especially away from the eyes.
Only the 2nd brand of Clary Sage I have tried & am looking no further - this is my favorite version of Clary Sage! The scent is mild & pleasant, & I particularly like the sclareol % content. Unfortunately I'm unable to tolerate any lavender scents, and while this (to me) smells somewhat similar to lavender, I am able to tolerate this gentle & soothingly uplifting scent. I simply cannot relax with lavender like other people do, but I can with Clary Sage. I find it soothing to agitated nerves and gentle to the skin when applied directly without dilution, & it blends favorably with my choice of body lotion. I hope the USA Premium will always be available! The French version smells wonderful too, it just contains less sclareol %, so I personally prefer the Premium. I really like this one. I rotate between majoram sweet, juniper berry, and this one as the oil I smell straight out of the bottle while watching tv at night. It helps me feel calm and relaxed. I also really like this company overall. The prices are great and I love that you can get samples. Their customer service is really good, too.
Wow! My first Clary Sage and I don’t want to try any other. I knew I would like it after reading that it smelled like a cup of tea. It sure gives me that feeling of enjoying some rare tea with someone special. I just adore the way it smells! It’s good on its own. I diffuse it. Whenever I try adding other oils, I primarily smell this one because it is strong. Just now I’m diffusing one drop only of clary sage with three drops of bergamot and I can only detect clary sage. It definitely is one of the more concentrated oils, so it will go a long way! Thank you for offering samples! I love trying new oils, though for this one I went straight to 5ml to start with. Still so much to explore but I am confident that this one will be a staple. So glad to have it.

I received a sample of this oil with a recent order. I was so amazed by the complex, fruity/floral scent that I will be ordering a full ounce. I have purchased Clary Sage from other suppliers and this has a much more sophisticated, sweet and yet herbaceous aroma. It's truly a lovely oil and I cannot wait to start using it. I primarily use Clary in blends for concerns such as PMS, discomfort and irritability during the monthly cycle, menopausal concerns and issues with restless worry/insomnia. I will be using this both for personal blends and in my aromatherapy practice.
Since I started using essential oils Clary Sage has been one of my favorites, not only because I love the scent - and this one is deliciously warm and musky with just a touch of sweet herbaceous aroma - but because it has made such a difference in the way I feel overall. It's made it much easier to cope with the extra stress familiar to those who've received a permanent, life-changing diagnosis that alters the way they've always lived and expected to live. Essential oils have been an incredible gift and this Clary Sage has shot to the top of my go-to list. <br /> Some of the ways I use this oil, always making sure it's mixed appropriately with a carrier oil...<br /> Sleep or Stress relief: blended with Bergamot, Chamomile Frankincense, Lavender or combination of any of these on bottom of feet or diffused. <br /> Pain: blended every night with with cedar wood and sometimes with marjoram or lavender and rub directly onto painful areas. <br /> Irritability/Blues: dab on wrist or throat <br /> Racing thoughts/Anxiety: dab across forehead<br /> Skin: A couple drops mixed with coconut oil rubbed on my face and throat 3-4 x's a week before bed to even out my combination skin. I'm very skeptical about skin care claims, and cautious about saying anything but it has made a difference in the appearance of my skin. <br /> It has a powerful sedating effect on me so I use it sparingly during the day and also mix with oils that help keep me alert like orange or peppermint. This is very simply the best Clary Sage I've ever used.
